Swope Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. whole wheat flour
    2 c. white flour
    1 c. white sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    1 qt. buttermilk or 3 1/2 c. milk with 1/2 c. vinegar
    2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Grease 2 loaf pans. Combine both flours, sugar and salt.
    Mix milk with soda.
    Stir into flour mixture.
    Put in pans.
    Put into oven and reduce heat to 350\u00b0. Bake 1 hour and 10 minutes or until done in center when tested with toothpick. Remove from pans and cool on rack.
