Tamale Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 (16 oz.) can whole kernel corn, drained
1 can pitted, drained black olives
1 large can tomatoes
1 to 1 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
1 green pepper, diced
garlic salt
1 Tbsp. chili powder
2 c. cornmeal mush
Preparation

Brown ground beef, add onion and green pepper and continue cooking until onion is soft.
Drain excess fat.
Put canned tomatoes in blender and \"chop\" briefly.
Add to meat mixture, along with corn, olives and garlic salt to taste, chili powder and cheese.
Heat through.
Line bottom of ungreased casserole with one-half of cooked mush.
Add meat mixture and top with remaining mush.
Bake, uncovered, for 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
