Apple Butter - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 gal. apples
    1 gal. light Karo
    4 lb. sugar
    cinnamon or allspice
Preparation
    Put apples with skins on in a tin can in the evening.
    Add Karo and sugar on top; put lid on and don't uncover in the morning.
    Put it on the stove; cook 3 hours.
    Take it off through a colander. Add spice and it's ready to can.
