Beef-In-Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. sugar
    1 can (16 oz.) tomatoes
    1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    pepper to taste
    1 pkg. (5 oz.) thin egg noodles
    1 c. sour cream
    1 pkg. (3 oz.) cream cheese
    6 green onions, chopped
Preparation
    In large skillet combine first 7 ingredients.
    Cook over low flame 5 to 10 minutes.
    Cook noodles according to directions.
    Mix noodles with sour cream, cream cheese and onions.
    In a greased 3-quart casserole dish, arrange meat and noodle mixture in alternate layers with 1 cup grated American cheese.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
    Increase meat to 2 pounds if desired.
