Shrewsbury Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    3 c. cake flour
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Cream shortening.
    Add sugar and 1 egg.
    Blend thoroughly. Add other eggs, beating very thoroughly after each.
    Add flour and baking powder alternately with milk.
    Add vanilla.
    Bake in a tube pan at 350\u00b0.
