Low Calorie Meatballs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 Tbsp. minced onion
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    1/4 c. seasoned bread crumbs
    1 egg
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
Preparation
    Combine beef, onion, garlic salt and bread crumbs in a large bowl.
    Beat egg with 1 tablespoon water in a small bowl; blend into beef mixture.
    Shape into balls using 1 tablespoons beef mixture per ball.
    Arrange in single layer on broiler pan.
    Broil 4 inches from source of heat for 5 minutes, turning once.
    Combine tomato sauce and 1 cup water in a saucepan; bring to a boil.
    Add meatballs to sauce and return to a boil.
    Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
    Remove cover and simmer for 10 minutes longer to allow sauce to thicken slightly.
    Skim off excess fat. Yields 4 servings at 253 calories per serving.
