Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/3 c. butter or margarine
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 to 1 1/4 c. pecan halves
    1 c. light corn syrup
    4 beaten eggs
    1 unbaked 9-inch pastry shell
Preparation
    Combine sugar, syrup and butter in a medium saucepan.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves and butter melts.
    Let cool slightly.
