Four-Minute Basic Gravy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    2 Tbsp. white flour
    1 c. nonfat milk
    1/2 tsp. onion powder
Preparation
    Blend oil and flour in a nonstick pan.
    Using a rubber spatula, slowly stir in cold milk.
    Mix until smooth.
    Add onion powder.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring until it thickens. Cooking time is about 3 minutes.
    Add ready-made brown gravy concentrate and pepper for meat sauce.
    Add capers, dill, pepper and a dash of lemon for fish.
    Add sliced canned mushrooms and garlic powder for mushroom sauce.
