Sweet-Sour Red Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head red cabbage
    4 slices bacon, diced
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 small onion, sliced
Preparation
    Cook 5 cups shredded cabbage in 1/2-inch of salted water (1/2 teaspoon to 1 cup of water) with 2 tablespoons vinegar added.
    Heat water to boiling.
    Cover.
    Cook cabbage, 5 to 8 minutes.
    Drain. Cook bacon until crisp; drain.
    Drain fat from skillet, reserving 1 tablespoon.
    Stir brown sugar and flour into fat in skillet.
    Stir in water, vinegar, salt, pepper and onion.
    Cook, stirring frequently until mixture thickens, about 5 minutes.
    Stir bacon and sauce mixture into hot cabbage in saucepan; heat through.
