Ellas' Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. butter
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    3 c. oatmeal
    1 c. pecans
Preparation
    Cream butter, sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
    Combine flour, baking soda and cream of tartar; gradually add to creamed mixture.
    Beat well. Stir in oatmeal and pecans.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned, cool slightly.
    Remove from cookie sheet; cool completely on wire rack.
