Breakfast Doughnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. melted shortening
    1 c. sour milk or buttermilk
    4 c. flour
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    4 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Mix eggs, sugar, shortening and sour milk until smooth.
    Sift together flour, salt, soda, nutmeg and baking powder.
    Add to mixture until doesn't stick to hands.
    Let rise on floured board for about 20 minutes.
    Roll and cut.
    Deep fry at 390\u00b0, about 1 minute per side.
