Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    2 Tbsp. cocoa
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 oz. red food coloring
    2 1/4 c. cake flour, sifted
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugar and eggs.
    Beat together.
    Make a paste of food coloring and cocoa.
    Add to the mixture.
    Add cake flour and salt.
    Alternate flour and buttermilk.
    Add soda and vinegar.
    Do not beat; stir.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 45 minutes.
