Jewish Style Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    4 c. flour
    2 c. sugar
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. orange juice
    1 c. cooking oil
    4 eggs
    4 to 6 apples (depending on size)
Preparation
    Mix 3/4 cup sugar with cinnamon; set aside.
    Into mixing bowl, sift together 2 cups sugar, baking powder and salt.
    Make a well in the center.
    Add orange juice, oil and eggs; beat well.
    Pour one-third of batter into a well creamed cake pan.
    Slice one-half of apples over batter; sprinkle with one-half of the cinnamon. Pour in another one-third of the batter; slice the rest of the apples over it.
    Sprinkle in the rest of the cinnamon.
    Add the rest of the batter.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 1 1/2 hours (until cake tests done).
    This is a heavy cake.
