Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. stew beef (lean)
    Irish potatoes (if desired)
    1 medium onion, chopped fine
    2 cans Hunt's whole tomatoes
    1 can Hunt's tomato sauce or ketchup
    2 cans English peas
    1 large can green lima beans
    1 large can green beans
    1 large can yellow corn
    1 large can Shoe Peg corn
    1 pkg. okra (if desired)
    1 bay leaf
    1 can carrots
    1 can black-eyed peas
Preparation
    Cook beef until tender.
    In a separate pot, cook potatoes until tender.
    Use a large soup pot and add beef and its juices. Then drain the potatoes and add to the beef.
    Drain all the liquid from the vegetables and add to the beef.
    After all ingredients are added, add water until soup is covered (about 1-inch over the mixture).
    Bring to a boil, then turn to low heat.
    Simmer for 2 to 3 hours, stirring frequently.
