Scrimshaw Inn Rum Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. milk
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. flour
    2 egg yolks
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. milk
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 tsp. dark rum
    1 baked (9-inch) graham cracker pie shell
    whipped cream for garnish
    grated chocolate for garnish
Preparation
    Combine 1 1/4 cups milk, sugar and salt in saucepan.
    Stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil.
    In medium bowl, beat together remaining milk, flour, cornstarch and egg yolks. Add hot mixture in a thin stream, whisking constantly to prevent eggs from curdling.
    Return mix to saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring until thick.
    Cool slightly.
    Beat in vanilla, butter and rum.
    Pour into pie shell and chill.
    Top with whipped cream and grated chocolate before serving.
