Egg Custard Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs, beaten slightly
    2/3 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    2 2/3 c. scalding hot milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix first 4 ingredients, then gradually add scalding milk and vanilla.
    Pour in pastry-lined pie pan and bake until a silver knife comes out clean.
    The center may still be soft, but will set later.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 15 minutes, then at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    (May bake at 350\u00b0 for entire time.)
