Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
2/3 c. mashed bananas
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. sour milk or buttermilk
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add bananas, egg and milk; blend well.
In separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt; blend well.
Add this mixture to shortening, etc. mixture. Add chopped nuts.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 45 minutes.
Check center with toothpick to test for doneness.
