Spinach Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. diced melon
    2 qt. spinach leaves, thoroughly chilled
    1 medium sweet onion, sliced thin (optional)
    juice of 4 limes
    1 c. oil
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/4 c. poppy seed
Preparation
    Bring juice and sugar to a boil.
    Add oil gradually, stirring constantly.
    Add poppy seed and bring back to a boil.
    Remove from heat, cool in refrigerator.
    Pour over spinach and toss.
