Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 egg
3/4 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. unsweetened applesauce
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped walnuts or raisins or both
2 1/2 c. cake flour (or use 1 c. regular flour minus 1 Tbsp., then add 1 Tbsp. cornstarch)

Preparation

Cream together first 3 ingredients; then add applesauce and soda, cinnamon, flour and mix well and add nuts and raisins.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until done.
