Hot German Potato Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

12 hash brown patties, thawed and crumbled
8 slices bacon, crumbled
6 Tbsp. flour
1 c. sugar
1 c. vinegar
1/2 tsp. celery seed
1 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/2 c. onion, finely chopped
Preparation

In a large bowl, thaw and crumble hash brown patties.
Prepare bacon in large skillet over medium heat.
Remove bacon from skillet; reserve drippings in same skillet.
Using a wire whisk, stir flour into bacon drippings until smooth.
Add sugar, vinegar, water, salt, pepper and celery seed.
Stir mixture until well blended.
Continue heating over medium heat until mixture boils and thickens.
Add onions and crumbled bacon to mixture.
Pour mixture over crumbled hash brown patties.
Stir to blend all ingredients.
Make ahead and refrigerate to allow flavors to blend.
Makes 8 servings.
