Beef Bourguignonne - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/8 lb. salt pork or bacon, diced
    12 small white onions
    2 lb. round steak, in 2-inch cubes
    2 Tbsp. flour
    salt and pepper
    marjoram
    thyme
    1 c. red wine (preferably Burgundy)
    1 c. bouillon or water
    1/2 lb. sliced mushrooms
Preparation
    Cook salt pork or bacon and onions until onions are golden brown.
    Remove the onions and set them aside.
    Put into the pan the round steak in 2-inch cubes.
    Brown well.
    Sprinkle with flour, salt, pepper, marjoram and thyme.
    Stir and add red wine and bouillon or water.
