Pork Chops And Potato Scallop - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 3/4 oz. can cream of mushroom soup (undiluted)
    1/2 c. commercial sour cream
    1/4 c. water
    4 pork chops (about 1 lb. each)
    salt to taste
    pepper to taste
    vegetable oil
    1/2 tsp. dried dill weed
    4 c. thinly sliced potatoes
Preparation
    Combine mushroom soup, sour cream, water and dill weed in small bowl; blend well.
    Alternate layers of potatoes and soup mixture in a lightly greased 2-quart casserole.
    Cover.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
    Sprinkle pork chops or pork steaks with salt and pepper.
    Brown on both sides in small amount of oil in medium skillet.
    Drain on paper towels.
    Place chops on top of potatoes. Cover and bake an additional 30 minutes.
    Garnish with parsley, if desired.
    Makes 4 servings.
