Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

25 cucumbers
12 medium onions
1 qt. vinegar
1/2 c. salt
2 c. sugar
5 tsp. mixed pickling spices
Preparation

Slice cucumbers and onions. Let soak in ice and salt for 3 hours. After 3 hours, drain. Put cucumbers, onions, vinegar, sugar and pickling spices in a kettle and heat for 5 minutes. Put in jars and seal. Makes 14 pints.
