Five O'Clock Buns - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. lukewarm water
1 c. sugar (scant c.)
2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. oil or melted shortening
1 rounded Tbsp. dry yeast
10 1/2 c. flour
2 eggs
Preparation

Combine water, sugar and yeast.
Add salt, oil and then eggs. Blend in flour until dough is formed.
Mix at 5 o'clock in the afternoon.
Punch down every hour. Shape into buns at about 10:00 or 11:00 in the evening. Cover and let set on cupboard until morning. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 or 20 minutes. Will make about 100 small buns.
Freezes well.
