Onion-Smothered Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. round steak
    1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 to 3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1/4 tsp. dried whole thyme
    2 medium onions, sliced
    1 c. water
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    1 bay leaf
Preparation
    Microwave Directions:
    Pound steak to 1/2-inch thickness; cut into 3/4-inch wide strips.
    Combine flour, salt and pepper; dredge steak in flour.
    Preheat a 10-inch browning dish at High for 8 to 9 minutes.
    Add oil, then steak; stir until sizzling stops. Microwave at High for 3 minutes, or until browned, stirring once. Add remaining ingredients; stir.
    Cover with lid or wax paper; microwave at Medium (50% power) for 30 to 35 minutes, stirring at 10-minute intervals.
    Remove bay leaf before serving.
