Coconut Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. solid vegetable shortening
    5 eggs
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. coconut flavoring
    1 small can flaked coconut
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar together.
    Beat in eggs one at a time.
    Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with buttermilk to first mixture.
    Add coconut flavoring and coconut.
    Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes to 1 hour.
