Yeast Rolls(My Own Recipe) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 pkg. yeast
1 c. lukewarm water
1 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
2 1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. boiling water
2 eggs, beaten
6 c. plain flour
Preparation
-
Warm
all
ingredients\tto room temperature.
With whisk dissolve
yeast
in lukewarm water (110\u00b0to 115\u00b0).
Mix shortening, sugar,
salt
and boiling water.
Let cool.
Mix eggs and yeast and add to cooled mixture.\tAdd flour, 2 cups at a time, until flour
is
completely
worked into dough.
You may add a little more
flour
if necessary.\tChill dough thoroughly (approximately 4 hours).
Knead for 5 minutes.
Shape into rolls. Brush
tops with
butter
and
cover
with
waxed paper before rising.\tLet rise in a warm place (80\u00b0to 85\u00b0) away from drafts or
place in an unheated closed oven with a pan of hot water on shelf below them. Let rise until double in size.
Bake at 425\u00b0 for
15
to
20 minutes or until golden brown.
Brush tops with butter.
