Caramel Corn Confection - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. dark corn syrup
    1 c. margarine
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. soda
    6 qt. popped popcorn
Preparation
    Combine brown sugar, syrup, margarine and cream of tartar in saucepan.
    Bring to a hard rolling boil, stirring until sugar is melted, boil 5 minutes.
    Remove from heat; stir in soda.
    Pour over popcorn; mix well.
    Place in roaster pan.
    Bake in preheated 250\u00b0 oven for about 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
    Store in tightly covered container.
    Peanuts may be added if desired.
