Black Walnut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    3 egg yolks
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. black walnuts
    3 egg whites, beaten
    3 tsp. baking powder
    2/3 c. milk
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar together until smooth.
    Add beaten egg yolks and mix well.
    Combine dry ingredients; add alternately with milk.
    Add vanilla and walnuts; mix well.
    Fold in egg whites. Bake in a greased tube pan at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
