Boiled Cake Pre W.W. Ii - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 c. raisins
1/3 c. butter (lard)
2 Tbsp. cocoa
2 c. hot water
1/4 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. allspice
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
dash of salt
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Preparation

Mix first 8 ingredients together and boil 5 minutes; let cool. Add flour, soda, salt, vanilla and nuts.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes in 9 x 13-inch pan.
