Marinated Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 small tomatoes
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. white vinegar
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 Tbsp. minced onion
    1 Tbsp. celery
    1 Tbsp. minced green pepper
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. Worcestershire
Preparation
    Combine sugar and next 8 ingredients in a jar or any plastic container with a tight lid or cover, shake vigorously.
    Pour over tomatoes.
    Cover and chill 8 hours, spooning marinade over tomatoes.
    Quarter tomatoes. May arrange 3 or 4 wedges on lettuce.
