Seafoam Or Divinity - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. white corn syrup
    2 egg whites, beaten until stiff
Preparation
    Cook together until firm-ball stage or until syrup spins a thread when dropped from the edge of a teaspoon. Pour over 1/2 of syrup mixture. Return remaining syrup to burner and cook until hard-ball stage. Pour remaining syrup over egg white mixture. Beat until mixture starts to lose its gloss or until the mixture tastes grainy. Add nuts or dry fruit as desired. Walnuts or pecans work well.
