Iced Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. long grain rice
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/4 c. cream
    1/2 oz. gelatin (1 envelope)
Preparation
    Measure rice and place into boiling water for 6 minutes. Measure milk and heat with vanilla until boiling.
    Measure sugar. Whip cream.
    Place mold into fridge.
    Put rice in milk and simmer 20 minutes.
    Add sugar and simmer 5 minutes.
    Soften gelatin in cold water and whip into hot rice.
    Place in fridge.
    When cool and thick, add whipped cream and put in mold.
    Garnish with fruit. Serves 8 to 10.
