Cretan Shrimp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 Tbsp. olive oil
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1 clove garlic, chopped
    1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes with liquid
    1/2 c. dry white wine
    2 Tbsp. finely chopped parsley
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 lb. raw shrimp, cleaned
    Parmesan cheese (can use Feta cheese)
Preparation
    Heat oil over medium heat in heavy skillet.
    Add onion and garlic.
    Cook until soft and transparent, about 5 minutes.
    Stir in tomatoes, wine, 1 tablespoon parsley, oregano, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil and cook briskly until pureed.
    Add shrimp; cook over moderate heat for 5 minutes or until pink and firm.
    Stir in cheese and remaining parsley.
    Serve with pasta.
    Serves 4.
