Blonde Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. margarine
    1 c. light brown sugar, firmly packed
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. unsifted flour (all-purpose)
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate pieces
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease and flour 8-inch pan.
    Melt butter in saucepan.
    Add sugar and stir until smooth.
    Put in large mixer bowl and beat 1 minute.
    Add egg and vanilla. Continue beating until light and fluffy, scraping down sides of bowl often.
    Stir in flour and salt until just blended.
    Fold in chocolate pieces.
    Put in pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Do not overbake.
