Strawberry Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. (1 1/2 qt.) half and half
    2 (14 oz.) cans Eagle Brand milk (not evaporated)
    1 qt. fresh strawberries, mashed or pureed
    4 eggs, beaten
    1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
    red food coloring (optional)
Preparation
    In large bowl, combine all ingredients; mix well.
    Pour into an electric ice cream freezer container.
    Freeze according to manufacturer's instructions.
    Store leftovers in freezer.
    Makes about 2 1/2 quarts.
