Papa'S Lo-Cal Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. dry pinto beans
    2 beef bouillon cubes
    2 Tbsp. cooking oil
    1 Tbsp. dry onion (powder or grain)
    1/2 Tbsp. dry garlic (powder or grain)
    3 Tbsp. catsup
    1 tsp. Sweet 'N Low
    1 tsp. chili powder (more if you like!)
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Place beans in covered 3 to 4-quart pot and cover with 3 inches of water.
    Cook on very low heat for 3 hours.
    Drain and fill with fresh water 2 to 3 inches above beans.
    Add oil, bouillon cubes and Sweet 'N Low.
    Bring it to low boil and cook until tender (about 4 hours).
    Add all other ingredients and simmer for 1/2 hour.
    Serve with cornbread.
    Open a window while cooking; window should remain open several days!
