Beefy Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. beef, cubed
    2 medium onions, chopped
    3 small potatoes, cubed
    1 stalk celery, chopped
    1 can tomato juice
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    dash of red or cayenne pepper
Preparation
    Cook beef until tender; add remaining ingredients and cook slowly about 1 1/2 hours.
    To give this more body, cooked white beans or macaroni may be added.
    A can of mixed vegetables may be added if desired.
