Chicken Rice Skillet - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    chicken legs and thighs
    2 Tbsp. salad oil
    1 envelope spaghetti sauce mix
    1 1/4 c. water
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 c. uncooked regular rice
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
    pimientos for color
Preparation
    Brown chicken in oil, then season with salt and pepper.
    Add sauce mix, water, tomatoes and rice, stirring together thoroughly. Simmer, covered, for 30 minutes until chicken is tender, stirring occasionally.
    Stir in peas and pimientos.
    Cook uncovered 15 minutes longer.
    Serves 4.
