Shrimp Creole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. oil
    1/2 c. flour
    1 3/4 c. green onion, chopped
    1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
    1 c. onion, chopped
    1/3 c. celery, chopped
    4 tsp. garlic
    1/4 tsp. chili powder
    1/4 tsp. mace
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
    3 Tbsp. parsley
    1/4 tsp. dry basil
    4 tsp. fresh lemon juice
    2 whole cloves
    3/4 tsp. black pepper
    4 Tbsp. dry red wine
    6 whole allspice
    2 tsp. salt
    4 bay leaves
    1 Tbsp. minced dry chives
    1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes, drained
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    2 c. water
    2 lb. shrimp
Preparation
    Make a paste with the oil and flour in a pot.
    Add the rest of the ingredients, except the shrimp.
    Simmer for about an hour.
    Add the shrimp and simmer until shrimp are done.
    Serve over rice.
