Whole Wheat Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 c. Nabisco whole wheat hot cereal (uncooked)
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    3/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. skim milk
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    3 Tbsp. margarine, melted
    1 c. diced, peeled apple
Preparation
    In a large bowl, combine flour, cereal, baking powder, cinnamon, baking soda and salt; set aside.
    In a small bowl, blend milk, sugar, egg and margarine until smooth.
    Stir milk mixture into flour mixture just until moistened.
    Mix in apple.
    Spoon batter into 12 greased 2 1/2-inch muffin pan cups almost full. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 18 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
    Serve warm.
