Upside-Down Chili Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 Tbsp. Swift'ning shortening
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 c. cooked kidney beans
1/4 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 c. cooked tomatoes
cornbread batter
Preparation

Brown meat and onion in melted Swift'ning.
Add beans, seasonings and tomatoes.
Cover.
Simmer gently about 15 minutes. Pour into a deep 9-inch pie plate rubbed with Swift'ning.
Top with cornbread batter.
Bake in a hot 425\u00b0 oven for 20 minutes.
To serve, cut pie shaped pieces.
