Chocolate Dipped Cherries - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    20 maraschino cherries with stems
    2 Tbsp. soft butter
    2 Tbsp. corn syrup
    dash of salt
    1 c. powdered fruit sugar
    3 oz. (3 sq.) semi-sweet chocolate
Preparation
    Drain cherries thoroughly and place on paper toweling.
    Mix together butter, syrup and salt.
    Blend in sugar.
    Knead until smooth.
    Chill, if too soft.
    Wrap about 1 teaspoon of fondant evenly around each cherry.
    Roll in palm of hand to smooth surface.
    Place on waxed paper on a baking sheet.
    Chill until firm.
    Melt chocolate in small saucepan over low heat until smooth.
    Holding cherries by stem, dip one at a time in chocolate. Place on waxed paper on baking sheet and chill until firm.
    Store in covered container in the fridge.
