Microwave Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. raw nut meats
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. white corn syrup
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Combine sugar, syrup and salt in a 2-quart casserole. Microwave 4 minutes; stir.
    Add nuts.
    Microwave 4 minutes more. Stir in butter and vanilla, blending well until nuts are lightly brown and syrup is very hot.
    Microwave 2 1/2 minutes.
    Add baking soda and stir gently until distributed well and it's foamy throughout.
    Pour onto a lightly buttered cookie sheet to cool before breaking into bite-sized pieces.
