Chewy Maple Walnut Drops - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 1/2 c. maple syrup
1 c. walnuts
2 egg whites

Preparation

Boil syrup to 254\u00b0.
Beat egg whites until stiff, then slowly add syrup in thin stream to egg whites.
Beat until it loses its gloss and holds its shape.
Add walnuts.
Drop by teaspoonfuls on wax paper.
Allow to dry.
