Syrup Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. dark syrup
    2/3 c. sugar
    2 heaping Tbsp. butter
    1/8 tsp. salt
    4 egg yolks and 1 whole egg
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Beat egg yolks and 1 whole egg until creamy.
    Add sugar, salt, nutmeg and syrup.
    Beat well and add melted butter.
    Mix thoroughly and then add vanilla.
    Pour into unbaked pie crust. For the first 15 minutes, cook at 375\u00b0, then cook at 300\u00b0 until pie is firm.
    Remove from the stove.
    Make meringue and spread on pie.
