Milky Way Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

8 (10-cent) Milky Way candy bars
2 sticks butter or margarine
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt
1 1/4 c. buttermilk
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans

Preparation

Melt candy and butter in double boiler; set aside.
Cream sugar and eggs.
Combine dry ingredients and add, alternately with Milky Way mixture and buttermilk, to the egg-sugar mixture.
Mix well.
Add vanilla and pecans.
Beat well.
