Sausage Stuffed Macaroni Shells - cooking recipe

3/4 lb. smoked sausage
18 large macaroni shells
1 lb. Ricotta cheese
1 egg, beaten
1 1/2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
1/2 c. chopped fresh parsley
1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves
1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
1 (15 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce (with mushrooms and onions)
1/3 c. water
Preparation

Prepare shells according to package.
Preheat oven to 375\u00b0. Combine Ricotta and egg. Add Mozzarella, parsley, Parmesan, basil and oregano. Stir in finely chopped sausage.
Combine spaghetti sauce and water in bowl.
Put 3/4 cup sauce in bottom of a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
Fill shells with sausage-cheese mixture and place in pan.
Pour remaining sauce over top.
Bake 35 minutes or until shells are heated through and cheese is melted.
