Ambrosia Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. sugar
1/4 c. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. milk
4 egg yolks, well beaten
2 Tbsp. butter, softened
1 Tbsp. and 1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flaked coconut
1 baked pie shell
Preparation

Combine sugar, cornstarch and salt in a large saucepan; mix well.
Combine milk and egg yolks; stir into sugar mixture.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens. Remove from heat.
Add butter, vanilla and coconut.
Let cool and pour into pie shell.
Top with Cool Whip; sprinkle with 1/4 cup toasted coconut.
