Camp Stew - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 to 1 lb. ground beef
2 Tbsp. fat
1 medium onion, sliced thin
1 c. cabbage, chopped
1/2 c. celery, diced
1 can red kidney beans
1 (29 to 32 oz.) can tomatoes
1 to 1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 c. Minute rice
Preparation

Brown ground beef in hot fat.
Add onion and saute until clear.
Add next 7 ingredients and bring to boil.
Cook 20 minutes.
Add rice and cook another 10 minutes.
Best served with corn bread.
